This Tudor Oyster Prince reference 7965 is in great pre-owned condition, it features a stunning coffee-like tropical patina with Arabic numerals. As with vintage Tudor most feature Rolex branded parts, this is prevalent in the Oyster case, the screw-down crown and the screw-down caseback all being signed by Rolex. The caseback features engraving titled "From Members Of Leadenhall Club, 1963". Tudor's calibre 2461 automatic movement powers this watch with lever escapement, 25 jewels and a mono-metallic compensation balance. There is little wear present on this watch for its age. The serial number starts with 279XXX pointing to a 1958 production date. The watch is currently running smoothly with no performance issues. Tudor's History: Tudor is owned and run by Rolex, and was created by Rolex founder, Hans Wilsdorf, back in 1926. Noted as the younger sibling of Rolex, the brand was created for the sole purpose of capturing more customers who are interested in Rolex without having to pay Rolex prices. Tudor watches, for the vast majority of the 20th century, utilised the same cases, bracelets, dials and designs as Rolex to save costs, time and create a parallel between the two brands. Thanks to cheaper, third-party movements from the likes of ETA, the overall cost of these watches were able to be more affordable than Rolex. Asking $1400

Estimated Private Party Value $1,350 — $2,400
