This tribute to the legendary 44GS is an almost exact replica of the original, but being a modern timepiece, it has significantly higher levels of refinement, reliability and increased water resistance. But what makes this particular 44GS stand-out from the other modern interpretations, is its retention of the vintage style lugs (that no longer exists due to the need to fit a steel bracelet). Specifically, the case has a straight connection between the lugs that gives it a strong, broad stance, which helps to eliminate the typical gap between a leather strap and the bezel. It's a unique look that I feel many watches could benefit from. In addition, being a manual wind, it's thinner than most modern GS pieces, which are frankly, much too thick. At only 11.5mm, it's a proper dress watch that'll easily fit under any dress cuff. I truly believe this model is a modern classic, and it can easily be the one-and-done Grand Seiko in your collection. **Condition:** Watch case is in good shape. Angles are razor sharp, and facets are clean. There are no dents or heavy scuff marks, just the usual swirls common on highly polished surfaces.
