A watch that needs very little introduction (and one I'm very sad to be parting with... but we all know how the hunt goes...) Grand Seiko‘s flagship modern icon, the Snowflake! From that incredible dial (if you haven’t read up on the process involved in making a snowflake dial, do yourself a favor, and Google it, it’s mind blowing!) to its renowned polishing to the tiniest of details - the fit and finish is next level! And this is an incredible example, 1.5 years old, in a full FULL AD set!

DIAL: WORK. OF. ART. It is a masterpiece! The kind of dial you just need to see under a loupe and stare at for hours! It really does look like freshly fallen snow, the polishing on the hands and markers is amazing (the light hits them and you don’t need lume - all the facets just POP) and then that incredible blued seconds hand as it ever-so-smoothly sweeps by… wow!



CASE: 41mm titanium case is plain awesome! Barely any weight to it at all, just disappears on the wrist. In great shape with very light wear as you’d expect with some daily use, a few light scratches, mostly seen on the highly polished areas (a few on the non crown side, and the smooth bezel) but all in presents beautifully!



CRYSTAL: Sapphire crystal looks as good as new, even under a loupe I’m not seeing any wear.

MOVEMENT: Grand Seiko’s unbelievable 9R65 spring drive movement is everything people say about it and more! 72 hour power reserve, accuracy here tracks to within app 0.3 seconds a day, all resulting in that mesmerizing, smooth sweeping seconds hand - gets my vote for one of the best movements out there today, truly bringing modern tech to historic horology!



BRACELET: Full titanium GS bracelet (as in all titanium AND full links included - currently sized to my 6.6 inch wrist) feels incredible on the wrist. And in fantastic condition as well with the common desk diving very light scratches seen a little bit on the buckle and the next few links over. Also presents beautifully!



ACCESSORIES: Absolutely full and complete AD set - double boxed, warranty card (just turned 1.5 years old) full spring drive booklet (which GS just stopped including) hang tags, GS cloth, everything down to the original little tag stickers was kept!
