During the 1980s quartz was king and these meca-quartz pieces were some of the earliest quartz chronographs ever produced. They utilized the best of mechanical technology using the famed Dubois Depraz 2000 chronograph module (same module used by Audemars Piguet in their original Royal Oak Offshore chrono line) combined with cutting edge quartz technology of the day.
