This Cyma "W.W.W." is a stunning piece of 1940s military history, runs excellent & has beautiful patina.
I became interested in military watches several years ago & was fascinated with the story behind the "Dirty Dozen" collection. This watch was added to my collection after a long search, as it seemed to be the best practical choice of all the "dozen" for many reasons.

At 38mm, the case is the 2nd largest of the group, and one of the few that were stainless steel. It's a good size for a vintage watch and wears like a more modern sized watch. The case is great because unlike Timor, Record, Omega and most of the others in the "dozen", it won't rust. The domed plexi gives it an extra dimension and has that warm, vintage look. It looks deeply scratched in a few of the photos, but REST ASSURED that it is NOT! The plexi is actually in very nice condition & in person only shows a few faint hairline scratches that you'd expect with age; it absolutely looks great! The face & hands appear to be untouched & original; the dial has faded slightly (not quite a "tropical", yet not a deep & dark black of a new watch), and the lume dots, hands & dial markings have all yellowed to a creamy off-white with age. It's readable yet still looks aged. This is the look that so many "modern retro" watches are copying (... hello Panerai & Omega), but this is the real deal! Just my opinion, but that adds a LOT of character to this old war-horse! I looked at several of these in my search & selected this one because it was the best looking of the bunch!

The watch runs great, winds smoothly, and the hands move & set with no issues. This is NOT an automatic watch, so you have to wind it daily. It is also reasonably accurate and will keep you on time for your appointments. I've owned it a few years & it was reportedly serviced just before I purchased it, which I believe because it's ran like a champ, & never given as much as a hiccup.

I added a "Erika's Original" MN strap in olive drab with a contrasting kaki stripe and a little British flag. It really is an amazingly comfortable strap, and IMHO it fits the character of the watch SO well! It also wasn't cheap! Erika's straps weren't made to fit a fixed lug watch, which I didn't realize until it arrived, so I had a sewing expert in my family cut the stitching and re-stich it in place. In other words, if you don't like this strap, you'll have to cut it off. But I really doubt you'd want to after trying it like this. There really aren't a lot of good options for these smaller strap sizes, but this one really is great!

I also purchased a reproduction A.F.0210 canvas strap, which is on what these would originally have been worn. However, it's not nearly as attractive or comfortable. It's included in the sale, so you can go 100% authentic if you need for your WW2 reenactment weekends.

Priced at $1,700 USD net, delivered domestically. Overseas shipping available at whatever it costs me and whatever service you prefer to use. I have excellent feedback here & welcome you to review it. Interesting trades considered, but I've kinda got my eye on a specific replacement.
