The Rolex features a brushed steel case, which is accented by a fixed yellow gold fluted bezel. The 16013 is mounted on its original 62523H-18 Jubilee bracelet with brushed steel outer links and polished gold center links, which is secured by a deployment clasp. The Jubilee bracelet contains 20 full size links and will comfortably fit a 7.25 inch wrist. The Datejust features an extremely rare blue indigo “Jubilee” anniversary dial with applied polished gold stick hour markers, gold tritium coated hands, and a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock. The blue indigo Jubilee dial is original to the watch, as the reference number on the Datejust’s papers denotes the dial. The movement used in the 16013 is the Rolex quickset caliber 3035, which is running flawlessly.

The Rolex’s case has been preserved well and contains thick even lugs, while the bezel flutes remain sharp and crisp. The Jubilee bracelet contains some stretch that is consistent with its age, remaining in approximately 85% condition. The blue anniversary dial has been preserved exceptionally well and is free of any imperfections or damage. Overall the Datejust is in excellent condition, and it is not every day that a blue indigo Anniversary dial comes to market. Furthermore, it is truly once in a blue moon that a watch with one of these dials comes to market, which has papers to verify that it was originally born with the dial.
