Up for sale here is a very special variant of the first generation overseas. While the 42040 is quite easy to find in steel, this one is in solid yellow gold, and is further distinguished by having a beautiful blue sunburst dial.

This watch just came back from a full overhaul at VC's service center, and therefore is in perfect working condition. It carries a 2 year warranty as well. The dial WAS NOT changed during the service, and is original to the watch. Look how the color changes in the sun! Truly stunning.

Comes with the service paperwork and travel cases, as shown in the last picture. If you would like one of the original boxes I can find one for you, but they are usually in flaky condition and I prefer not to store my nicest watches in them.
