Good afternoon Reddit! This is my first sale post. I'm offering my Seiko King Samurai SRPE35 for sale. I purchased this watch in March 2021 and I wore it about once a month for the first year. I'm selling because I've stopped wearing this watch. __Price__: $350 Shipped CONUS (Paypal, Zelle, ApplePay) __Dimensions__: Diameter 44mm, Thickness 12.8mm, Lug-to-Lug 48.7mm per Seiko __Condition__: Worn, but babied. No visible case dings. If there are scratches they are from sizing, removing straps or using the watch while working at my desk. I will gladly send more pics if requested. __Other__: This is the "King Samurai" with upgraded ceramic bezel insert & sapphire crystal. Movement is a 4R35. The watch will come with the original box and manual. It is currently sized for my 6.5" wrist. I am located in Kansas City, MO and can do F2F in the area. The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
