For Sale
I have a number of distinctive mid-60s Orients that I plan to put up for sale. First up is this 1960s Calendar Auto 21 Diver in really nice condition. It's not getting any wrist time and I'm selling with the aim of putting the funds towards a trip to Japan.
Model number: T-19755
■ Case size: 40mm (excluding crown). Sharp, robust case with only the very lightest signs of wear in the form of tiny swirls and very light scratches. I would say it's in superb shape.
■ Lug width: 18mm
■ Stainless steel case
■ Dial: Silver. All lume on dial and hands is in place. The photos give a good indication of condition. It's bright and unblemished. There is a tiny piece of black lint (?) under the word Auto. I don't think it's a scratch.
■ Movement: Automatic caliber 670. Watch is is good working order. Not serviced under my ownership but I believe that it was serviced in 2018 prior to my purchase.
■ Original signed crown. The 'feedback' through the crown when you wind the watch is very 'light' (this is the case with all my Orients and anecdotally I have heard that this is normal on these watches). There is no problem winding or setting. Date flips over as it should.
■ Rotating bezel turns smoothly. There is no click-action.
Screw back. The caseback states Perfect Waterproof (I highly doubt it ever was) and the elaborate diver motif is still clearly visible. There are some scratches to the periphery of the caseback from a previous failed attempt to open (not during my ownership!).
My ask is £1395 by bank wire or PP+4%.
Sale is for the watch head only.
Happy to post insured anywhere to members here at buyer's cost following agreement on courier/method. UK postage will be on me. Watch is with me in London and I am happy to meet in person / zoom / facetime
I have bought and sold a number of watches among the Omega Forums community. All transactions have gone smoothly and I believe that I could count on some decent references if none have already been left here.
Finally, thanks to Omega Forums for the space to advertise. In my experience this is the best place to buy and sell and I will do all I can to play my part in keeping it that way. Feel free to drop me a line with any questions/requests/etc.
And thanks for looking. It's a striking looking, unusual and very Japanese piece - might be of interest if you're looking for something non-Seiko from this fascinating period of watch design and innovation. Best regards, Neil.
