Hey everyone — Re-posting my Seiko SLA017 - the original 62MAS re-issue and so far my favorite watch. Unfortunately I need to make some hard decisions and need to let it go for a while. Hopefully one day I’ll get it back =) There’s lots of deserved love for the new SJE093, but I think the SLA017 has near-perfect wrist presence on a 6.75”+ wrist. I was initially nervous about the thickness specs, but it wears better than the numbers suggest, partially thanks to the domed sapphire. There’s a lot of info out there about this watch.. but the broad strokes: Limited run of 2000 pieces 8L35 “undecorated” GS movement 200m water resistance Stainless case with diashield coating This was my EDC watch, and got 90%+ of my wrist time. The case shows some wear, a few scratches and some small dings on the lugs, but nothing that takes away from how lovely this watch wears and looks. You can do pretty much anything in this watch. I don’t have a timegrapher but based on my observations it’s running within spec, although could likely be regulated to cosc as many have reported with this movement.
