**The rather hard to find (in full working order) 6M13 0010 Age of Discovery from Seiko’s Dancing hands & Perpetual Calendar series.** Released to commemorate the 500th Anniversary Christopher Columbus “discovering” the Americas, the 6M13 comes equipped with a unique globe dial and a stunning Santa Maria case back. At first glance you might feel a bit overwhelmed by a dial crowded with hands; but rest assured, it’s actually a very easy to understand watch. The black side of each hand points to the time, when “TIME” is selected on the six o’clock sub dial. The red and blue ends of the hands point to the days, months, and years when “CALENDAR” is selected. It is particularly satisfying to switch between the various modes as the hands gently whir into their respective positions. [Here's a video of the watch in action!]( https://www.instagram.com/p/C3FTFF4q-qZ/) It has various features, some more useful than others, and I will list them all below. **Model**: Seiko 6M13 0010; Age of Discovery Perpetual Calendar **Year**: 1991 **Features**: - **Perpetual Calendar**. Displays Day, Date, Month, and the full four-digit year (in case you forget which century we’re in). It accounts for leap years and remains accurate until 2400. It also has a calendar search option where you can input some date related data and it will spit out the missing pieces. This is very useful if you need to find out what day of the week it was on 5th September 2003 (Friday). Because the watch can track dates from 1400 to 2400, it actually switches from the Julian Calendar to the Gregorian Calendar in 1582! Pretty remarkable. - **Dual Alarms**. You can set an alarm for a specific date or set a repeating daily alarm. - **Dancing Hands**. Can art be considered a feature? They just look great. [Watch the video and see for yourself](https://www.instagram.com/p/C3FTFF4q-qZ/). You’ll spend at least the first full day you have with this watch switching through the various modes. **Condition**: The dial and crystal are perfect. The gold case is in very good condition - all abrasions are surface level and minor. The case back is worn, but the stamped Santa Maria is still clearly visible. The leather strap is totally original, but is also worn. Definitely still wearable as it feels soft and supple - it has not dried out and cracked. The photos are very representative of the condition. **Scope**: No papers or box **Movement**: 6M13 Quartz, with new battery just installed **Case Width**: 39.0mm **Lug to lug:** 43.3mm **Case Thickness**: 10.5mm **Lug width**: 18mm **Price**: Offered at **$900** net to me, plus shipping (sent from London, UK; costs $5-$30 depending on where you are in the world). It’s in great condition, with the original strap in wearable condition, and fully functional (even the alarms!). Bank Wire, Wise, Paypal, or Shopify. Fees paid by you. Not accepting trades. **Of note**: Nothing to report [Album](https://imgur.com/a/hZKpLiF) [Timestamp](https://imgur.com/a/escz2HU)
