Hi all! Here is for sale a nice Omega C Constellation 168.017 with Automatic Chronometer cal. 561 from 1966 according to serial number 23 mil. For sale is watch only. Case has a a C shape from and is made from goldcapped stainless steel, has 35 x 40.5 mm, thickness is 11 mm. Case is unpolished and has no dings or deep scratches. Case still has factory brushing and polished bevels. Caseback is screw down and has Seamaster logo. Crown is stainless steel, has Omega logo. Crystal is acrylic. Movement is automatic Omega Automatic Chronometer Officially Certified cal. 561. Movement is clean and at the moment runs –1 sec/day, please check timegrapher pic in gallery. Dial is silver colored with goldtoned hourmarkers, has date window at 3 o’clock and applied Omega logo. Also it has Chronometer movement inscription, Constellation star logo and Swiss Made on the bottom. Strap is Wempe 19mm brown ostrich leather in great condition, buckle is authentic Omega one. This watch looks brilliant due to its uncommon case shape and is already a classic amongst watch enthusiasts. Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
