Good evening, WatchEx! Lucky number 7, and final watch of the evening: the Guinand Flight Officer in 42mm. You know it wouldn't be right if I didn't have at least *one* German beauty to list on a weekend. This Guinand is an excellent daily workhorse - a friend of mine asked how the quality was earlier today, and the best I could come up with is this: **if it had a Sinn logo, you think it was an upgraded Sinn 836.** I truly mean that, the finishes, the ocerally build quality, the strap - it's a gem. Guinand has been doing watches forever, and doing so as somewhat of a distant relative to Sinn. Both manufacturers use a lot of the same component suppliers (SUG, namely) and you'll see many similarities between the brands. This, the Flight Officer, is the quintessential pilot's watch. No frill, no tricky complications that areade redundant by your cockpit gauges and computers, just three hands and a nearly placed date window at 4 o'clock. A high contrast dial is seated within a very nicely finished case, with the entire steel shell having a brushed/satin finish. An elaboré grade SW220-1 ticks away behind a sapphire display window on the back of the watch, and it's been paired with one of the nicest textile straps I've ever come across, lined with buttery soft anthracite alcantara. Quick Specs: - Reference: Flight Officer 42 - Stainless Steel Case - 42mm Case - 11.4mm Thin - 50.9mm Lug to Lug (down turned lugs make for a very comfortable wear on my 6.75-7" wrist - 46mm from Pin to Pin - 20mm Lug Width - 10bar/100m Water Resistance - Domed Sapphire Crystal - Movement: Sellita SW220-1 Elaboré - Watch inly, no box/papers - Running well, ~-4s/day - Excellent condition, very few short hairlines to be found on bezel/case. Price is shipped/insured within the US (UPS 3-Day or USPS Priority, whichever is faster), international shipping available at buyer's expense (typically not more than $50.) Zelle preferred, PP F&F/Venmo/CashApp also accepted. Tons of refs on here, hundreds more on various reputable watch groups on Facebook. Sale heavily preferred, will consider trades around the $800 mark. Thanks for looking - Cheers!
