Good evening, WatchEx! Two for tonight, starting with a fan-favorite: the Monta Skyquest V1 Pepsi. Ah yes, Monta. A true darling of the watch-collecting community. Born from Everest - elite strap makers of all major Swiss brands - these earlier models from Monta have an enormous following for what's technically a "microbrand." If their watches had Tudor or Longines on the dial, you wouldn't think twice after seeing the quality first-hand. The Skyquest GMT might be their best design to date, specifically the V1 (not that the V2 isn't also great, but come on - this is middle-tier perfecttion.) The Pepsi/gilt colorways was released with either a black or white dial, limited to 500 and 200 pieces respectively. I've always listed over the white dial, but I really think the black dial does a much better job of being a more subtle option for daily wearing. Great finishing, a smooth on-the-fly micro-adjust clasp, and a beautiful mix of red/blue/gold on a matte black palette - you truly cannot go wrong with this one.
