A very rare Vibrant White Satin finished Sunburst dial Seiko Lord Matic in great condition. Robust well built beefy cushion case. Raised Faceted indexes make the dial pop. Movement has been serviced. Great time keeping. LM offers the base movement of the king seiko. This reference has close resemblance with Grand seiko 45GS. Amazing condition at 56 year old, ready to be used as a daily driver. Designs are well ahead of its era being futuristic. Kanji(Japanese) date highly complements the dial. It has both English and Japanese (Kanji) day options. Comes with the original Seiko LM signed BOR (Beads of Rice) Bracelet. Very solid build quality. Such pieces should be appreciated upfront to experience at full measure, pictures don't do justice to this beauty. Sunlight brings out most of its beauty. They were designed to have premium build quality but for only regions of Japan. The polish is insane with sharp brushed lines and mirror finishing. Handling it, I can definitely guarantee this is superior to modern watches of the same price zone. A good Collectors piece. Such dials are highly sought after in seiko world. Having sharp sword hands and similar finishing of king and grand seikos, the lord matics are great investment pieces. They're only released in Japan, JDM model. The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
