I am happy to talk on the phone or do a FaceTime or other video call. No trades please. Up for sale today is a stunning and rare timepiece. It is a Glashutte Original 1845 Klassik Ziegerdatum. This is from GO’s pre-Swatch era. The reference number is 1-49-02-02-02-04. I love the neo-vintage era of watchmaking and this is an example of why. The watch has many great features such as tempered blue Breguet hands, a coin-edge bezel, an onion crown, small seconds and date registers, Arabic numbers, and a two-tone silver/copper dial. The watch is made of 18k rose gold. This thing feels solid and hefty in the best of ways. There is a lot of gold here. It feels very premium. The size is much more palatable than some of GO’s more recent offerings. It is 38.5mm in diameter and 11.5 mm thin. It wears beautifully. The powerplant is the renowned manual wind in-house GUB 49. It is rhodium plated and features gold chatons, a swan neck regulator, Cotes De Geneve embellishment, and a 21k gold rotor. Truly a work of art mechanically and visually. The watch is in excellent condition. There is one minor scratch on the lower right lug as seen in the photos. Aside from that, the are some very minor hairline scratches. The overall look is very clean. It is running accurately and strongly as evidenced by the timegrapher results in the attached photos. The service history is unknown. The sale comes with the box, manual, and guarantee dated in 1998. The box has some damage. Some pages of the manual are loose.
