I don’t think it’s that Cartier is having a moment, I think the watch world has fully opened its eyes to decades and decades of incredible watches! Top of the Cartier pack has got to be the Cartier Tank, it’s a bonafide icon. Within the Must de line of Tanks this is THE one everyone’s after, the lemon Roman dial manual wound! And this is a fantastic example complete with original Cartier buckle and box! YEAR: App late 70s - mid 80s DIAL: Such a legendary design, the lemon Roman dial screams classic Cartier! Beautiful condition, a few lights specs seen under a loupe but all in presents beautifully. Crystal is incredibly clean as well - hard to find a cleaner example! CASE: This is the vintage men’s version, measuring in at 23.5MM x 30.5MM. A small and classy watch, equally suitable as a men’s or unisex swatch. Pictured on my 6.6 inch wrist, it wears beautifully. The Vermeil case, a Cartier staple of gold over sterling silver appears unpolished with some beautiful light patina forming on the gold. Has wear throughout, as to be expected given the age but looks fantastic on the wrist. And of course that sweet original crown with its blue cabochon! MOVEMENT: Hand wound mechanical movement running beautifully! Service history is unknown, but winding and setting is very smooth and timegrapher numbers are fantastic at 6 seconds a day and a very healthy amplitude of 286.
