For sale is a Seiko 6139-6032 JDM Speedtimer “Coke” Automatic vintage chronograph from 1972. Original JDM model in very good condition, with Kanji and English day wheel. The 6139 watches were arguably the first automatic chronographs to market, and are immortalized by the “unofficial” use of the yellow variant on NASA Sky Lab Mission in 1973 by Col William Pogue (who wore his personal Seiko 6139 on one wrist and NASA approved Omega Speedmaster on the other). The black version for sale here is nicknamed “Coke” due to its red and black color scheme. This is a very nice example in very good condition. Worn a couple of times in my possession last 2 years.

Dial: Black dial JDM version with 5Sports text at 12, and red Speedtimer text at 9, day date function English/Kanji, 30 min subdial at 6. Dial is in excellent condition with no visible flaws. Text and all markings clear and intact. Original lume with white lumed hands and indices, orange sweep. All in original excellent condition. Some lume patina but mild.
Movement: 6139B 21 jewels, JDM red letter text, manufactured April 1972. Clean as seen and running well. Keeps good time and all functions working well. Serviced prior to my 2022 purchase from reliable dealer but no records.
Case: Large 41mm diameter stainless steel with screw down cade caseback, good condition showing some wear but no significant dings or damage. I do not think it has been polished. 19 mm lugs.
Bezel: Good black and red original condition, some marks from wear no significant damage few very small chips as seen in photos.
Serial number: 246408, from April 1972
Crown and pushers: Original, functioning well- winding, setting, quick set. Chrono works well, reset is good. Interesting quickset firm push of crown advances both day and date, and lighter push on crown advances date only.
Bracelet: Black and red leather strap from CNS, good color match. (I also have a new Uncle Seiko JDM Speedtimer bracelet with full links, which is match for this watch (originals are near impossible to find) worth $90, which I will include for extra $50 at buyers choice.)
Crystal: Replaced mineral glass correct for watch, clear no visible scratches, excellent
