Hi all! Today I am looking to sell my 1973 Seiko 6139-6005 Automatic Chronograph “Blue Pogue.”
I purchased this watch from Hub City Vintage in April of 2024. I've always wanted a Pogue, but have come to realize it's just not my style. The watch comes with its original bracelet (currently sized for a ~7" wrist, but all links I received from Hub City are included), Delugs Navy Blue CTS Rubber Strap (cut for a 7" wrist, but also includes one full uncut side), Hub City box, and Hub City "owners manual."
I only wore the watch a handful of times, mainly on the Delugs strap, so the condition is identical to when I received it from Hub City.

Here is the original description from Hub City:
For vintage Seiko lovers, perhaps no series is as instantly recognizable as the 6139-600X models that have become synonymous with the introduction of this historic movement. For collectors, they serve as the embodiment of Seiko’s efforts to deliver, with style, their first automatic chronograph. Today, these models are often referred to as, and fall under the umbrella of the “Pogue” models due to their association to Col. William Pogue and his now historic yellow dialed variant. Available in three color ways (Yellow, Silver, and Blue), it goes without saying that no matter your preference, they are all memorable in their own right and an ideal example would be a highlight in any collection. This example from November of ‘73 is absolutely stunning. The rich, velvety blue dial is flawless and captivating. The luminous material on the markers is the original, and still a crisp bright white with no visible patina. The rotating inner bezel is a vivid black with crisp silver markings, and shows no fading from UV exposure. The mirror finish of the hour and minute batons is free of oxidation, and the luminous material within has no discoloration. The chronograph hands are a fiery red/orange that is both complementary, and in perfect contrast to the dial, and neither show any paint loss or chipping. The outer bezel in crisp, metallic red and navy blue is near perfect with negligible wear and no fading. The case is unpolished and the original finishes are sharply defined. The chronograph functions are snappy and responsive, and post service, the 6139B is keeping near perfect time. It comes attached to the original tapered “H” link bracelet for a seamless fit and finish (up to 8.0” wrist), and is completely original aside from a replacement crystal. A truly phenomenal example, it would make the highlight reel on any roster, and is easily among the nicest we’ve been able to offer. Don’t wait on this one.
Original Seiko Tapered “H” Link Bracelet
Serviced - 4/24
Diameter - 41mm
Lugs - 19mm
Finally, here is an Instagram video posted by Hub City showing the condition of the watch in great detail --> HCV Instagram
