# IWC R815 Video: [https://imgur.com/a/RRZNxlw](https://imgur.com/a/RRZNxlw) Up for sale is a seldom-seen vintage IWC reference, the 815A, in a fantastic collector's bundle of original mesh bracelet, inner and outer boxes, and guarantee booklet. This piece dates to 1968 based on the 1.9m serial number, and is in amazing condition. The movement is the IWC 8541B, the date and hacking version of IWCs 85X series of automatic movements based on the legendary Pellaton winding system. The movement was just fully serviced and is running beautifully. The original dial is in fantastic shape and shows virtually no signs of its age at all. The boxes are also very good for their age, with the only real signs of wear being on top of the inner where the guarantee booklet was (presumably for the last 55 years or so while this safe queen was stored). The case on this reference measures 35mm, but wears fairly large due to the shape and hidden lugs. Wrist shot is of the watch on my \~6.75" wrist. Lug to lug length is about 36mm, and even with the domed crystal the watch is only about 11.25mm thick. The lug width is 19mm.
