I lusted for this watch for a while.  When I first started collecting, the German houses had my heart.  Something about the rugged practicality of German “tool watches” appealed to me, even though I hadn’t worn a watch yet. I started looking at this watch’s more common black-and-white cousin.  Oooh “Flieger!”   Then I found this show-stopping copper dial.  It was the first watch in my consciousness that so perfectly married beauty and function.  Wasn’t long before it was on my wrist. As you can see in the photos, this one has the sapphire crystal case-back so you can see the movement.  Chef’s kiss. **Condition:** Condition is Good.  Crystal and dial are free of blemishes.  Case has swirlies here and there, and there are marks on the lugs from my ham hands changing out straps.  The leather strap is in pretty good shape, but could probably use a polisher / leather moisturizer.   The watch runs fine, seems to keep good time.  There’s one issue in the calendar function where the day orients at a diagonal to its little window.  This never bothered me enough to get it serviced, but from what I know it’s an easy fix. Overall - it’s not mint, and it’s priced that way.  If you wear your watches often, it’s highly likely that you’ll put more wear on this than I did.   **Provenance:** Purchased used from a forum (Watchuseek, most likely). **Includes:** Comes with the brown leather Sinn deployant strap and double Sinn boxes. **Price: $1,999 (firm for now)**. The passion waned, the watches went into (well-protected, indoor) storage.
