Alpina Seastrong Diver 300 Auto (REF. AL-525LBBRG4V6)
This is a very nice dive watch. I have several Alpina watches and have given them as gifts over the years. I think they are an outstanding value. This watch looks, feels, and wears like a much more expensive timepiece.
This one is in mint condition (98%). I only wore it a few times. There are no marks of any kind that I can find on the case or bezel. The sapphire crystal is perfect, as is the anti-reflection coating. Anything that looks like a defect in the photos is a spec of dust I missed before taking photos. It comes with two straps. When I bought it, it came with a tan rubber strap with a brushed stainless steel engraved buckle. It's also 98% condition, only being worn a few times. I ordered the textile/velcro dive strap for an additional $100. It is a neat design, similar to a NATO strap, but more secure. The wide section of the strap fastens around your wrist first, then the narrow section with the watch case wraps around, threads through the clasp, then attaches back to itself with velcro. I've only worn that strap once.
The Alpina AL-525 movement is based on the Sellita SW200 which is almost identical to the ETA 2824. The SW200 has one more Jewel than the ETA to minimize wear. I love the display back on this one, too. Most dive watches don't have a display back. The two-clicks per minute unidirectional bezel feels/sounds very solid, and this model with the anodized burgundy bezel insert is not very common. The matte black dial is classic; very simple and clean, especially compared to the current models. The hands on this one are great (much like a Panerai Submersible). I usually don't include a lume shot, but this one is so nice. The Alpina box set is included along with the hangtag, instruction booklet and warranty (the two year warranty has expired). MSRP on this watch was $1395 back in 2019 when I bought it. The similar Seastong models available today retail at $1595.
It's running -15 sec/24 hr which is pretty good. It's been in the box for about 3 years, so I think it will get more accurate after it runs a while. When I first bought it, it was almost spot on.
I'm selling for $550 including USA shipping. I have not been as active on Timezone as I used to be, but I do have a long history here and can provide a few references.
