Up for sale today is this beautiful Omega Constellation C Case 168.0056 Navy Blue Dial Watch. This watch comes with the original bracelet, is currently sized to fit a 6.3 inch wrist but I have two extra links (Omega 1040 Bracelet). The crown on this watch was replaced at some point, as was the crystal. I do not have the original of either parts, but never saw an issue. It keeps pretty good time (I am eyeballing around maybe loses 10-12 seconds or so a day), without a doubt it needs a service, I personally just didn’t see a need to in terms of time keeping as I wore it once every week or so anyways. It is overall in decent condition, some scratches on the case and body. Omega Cal 1011 movement. I believe this watch was made for the Japanese market, its navy blue dial is gorgeous and looks beautiful in the sun. Truly is a beautiful watch, I am just looking to change up my collection at this point. MUST COMMENT PM BEFORE MESSAGING. Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
