An ultra rare Omega Seamaster cosmic 2000 vintage watch in great condition. White satin Brush finished sunburst dial with raised faceted indexes. Comes with a brown leather strap. Sporty dress watch piece. Creative design on the piece, makes it a conversation piece. In an era of inflated prices of modern sports watches, this is a bargain. A classic. The build quality is very high end overall. Sharp brushed polishing on the solid case. Omega signed crown. Quick date complication. Movement has been serviced. Great time keeping. Amazing condition, ready to be used as a daily driver. Such pieces should be appreciated upfront to experience at full measure, Pictures don't do justice to this beauty. Great collectible. Case is professionally polished keeping all the sharp brushed lines, edges and mirror finishing. Omega is renowned to produce watches such as this, simple time only minimalistic clean dial watches yet sophisticated and complex movements. It is a design language that goes through centuries and yet appreciated.

Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
