1968 Rolex 1803 Day-Date 18k Rose Gold Sundust Rose Sigma Dial Portuguese Day Wheel

The Rolex features a brushed rose gold case, which is accented by a fluted rose gold bezel. The Day-Date is mounted on an unworn quick release Asphalt Gray crumbs calfskin leather strap from Hide and Alloy, which is secured by a gold Rolex tang buckle. The Rolex features a rose gold sunburst “Sigma” dial with applied polished rose gold stick hour markers, polished rose gold tritium-coated hands, a magnified date window at 3 o’clock, and a day window at 12 o’clock, complete with a Portuguese date wheel. The tritium lume plots and hands have acquired an even custard colored patina with age, which beautifully accent the rose sunburst dial.

Condition:
The 1803’s case has been preserved well and retains evenly thick lugs with fairly crisp and well defined bezel flutes. The rose sunburst dial is free of any noticeable imperfections while its lume plots remain intact. Overall the Rolex is in excellent vintage condition and is a wonderful well preserved example of a rare rose gold reference 1803 Day-Date, with its Portuguese date wheel being an added bonus !
