Hi everyone, for sale today is a nice Omega 166.010

1. General introduction
A very nice stainless steel Omega 166.010, working perfectly, 35mm, white sunburst dial, original bracelet in very good condition.
Brand: Omega; Model: Seamaster; Reference: 166.010.

2. Detail

Dial: Original white sunburst dial in very good condition. Black painted hour markers; dauphine hands; prints, hands, hour markers are all good.
Case: The diameter is 35mm without the crown. Original case with hairline scratches. Original knurled crown.
Movement: Caliber 565 with quickset date function. The watch is running, all functions work as they should. Serial number is 30356361, dated to 1969. Last service on November 2024 (this service fixed the rotor vs caseback rub).

Glass: Original with Omega logo, no visible scratches.
Bracelet: Original Omega bracelet reference 1036 with 511 end-links in very good condition, triple fold clasp featuring micro-adjust with Omega logo. The bracelet can fit up-to 19.5cm wrist.
Accessory: Watch only.
Overall, this is a nice example of the reference.

Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
