Up for grabs is a great example of what’s often called a “Poor Man’s Heuer Carrera.”

These 1960s chronographs earned the nickname simply because they were manufactured by Heuer but sold under different brand names. True “Poor Man’s Heuers” share the same case design, build quality, and movements as their Heuer-branded counterparts but were typically distributed by budget retailers. Despite their rarity, they remain significantly more affordable than “official” Heuers to this day.

This particular piece bears the “Tradition” branding, the watch line chosen by Sears Roebuck, and dates to the mid-to-late 1960s. It boasts a striking white and black “Panda” dial configuration with a beautifully aged patina.

Case shows wear from use but remains unpolished (see photos)

Movement is running well, chrono start, stops and resets as it should

Lovely patina on lume

Will ship it on a leather strap (not pictured) and will include a vintage ladder bracelet.

Estimated Private Party Value $2,438 — $4,250
