Good afternoon, WatchEx! Third of the day: the Alpina Seastrong Gyre LE 36mm, priced to absolutely fly. I've owned plenty of Alpina in the last few years, and I've always thought "man, if they'd just figure out a way to make their watches more wearable/less bulky, they'd be an absolute hit." Well, with this Seastrong Gyre edition, they've done just that. A lightweight carbon case and compact size allows this to fit an extremely wide variety of wrists - being a 36mm, it took the place of my 35mm Seiko SNK (another absolute must for any collection.) This is priced to sell, as it has seen its fair share of adventures and has the scars to prove it. It's fully functional, keeping excellent time, and in great shape outside of the bezel. It's the perfect weekend warrior. Don't be fooled by the case size, it wears really nicely, probably closer to what you'd assume is a 37-38mm. The carbon case leaves it extremely lightweight, and that dial is gorgeous. It's extremely capable, as well - screw down crown, impressive water resistance, and you won't have to worry about scratching the carbon case (or bezel, for that matter.)
