Originally designed for pilots, the “Big Crown”—which gives the model its name—allowed for easy adjustments while wearing gloves. While there are many modern interpretations of this watch with different colors and sizes, the 7551 stands out for several reasons. It’s one of the rarer Big Crown models at 36mm in diameter, with a 44mm lug-to-lug and an 18mm lug width, making it an ideal dress watch size. It fits a wide range of wrist sizes, from 14.5cm (5.7 inches) to 18.5cm (7.25 inches), whereas most modern Big Crown models lean towards sportier proportions at 38mm or 40mm. Notable features include a multi-piece stainless steel case with a steel top ring, a domed plexiglass crystal, and a see-through case back with mineral glass. The watch is in mint condition as this is bought from Oris AD in Thailand taken right off exhibition case. The bracelet fits up to 21 cm (8.2 inches) with the tag still hanging on the bracelet.
