God, I wish I could wear this watch, but my fatass wrists just can’t pull it off. For sale or trade is this gorgeous Nomos Tangente limited edition “Frostblau.” You may remember this watch from last year’s Watches and Wonders—this is one of the 31 limited to 175 piece colorways, and one of the first to sell out, in fact. Its case is 37.5mm wide and less than 8mm thick! Its open caseback reveals the totally in-house DUW4101 that is running to chronometer spec. The flat sapphire crystal is pristine, and the polished case shows barely any signs of wear. Included with the full box and papers are two OEM Nomos straps—one canvas and the other suede. Absolutely gorgeous. I would accept $2500 cash but am happy to consider trades! As mentioned, I have big fat wrists, so anything under 38mm need not apply (unless it’s a Cartier Tank).

NOMOS Glashütte is a German watchmaking company based in Glashütte, Saxony, which specializes in manual-winding and automatic mechanical watches. It was founded in January 1990, two months after the fall of the Berlin Wall, by Roland Schwertner. The designs for the first collection were drawn up by Susanne Günther, drawing influence from the Bauhaus purist style. NOMOS's designs have been widely praised for their clean and modernist aesthetic. In its early years, the company focused on manufacturing mechanical watches with hand-wound movements. The basis for the movement was, until 2005, the Swiss-made ETA SA / Peseux 7001. Annual production is approximately 20,000 pieces.

Since 2005, NOMOS Glashütte has only used in-house movements. Beginning with α (Alpha), a manual winding caliber, the range has since been expanded to include a range of other manual winding movements with additional functions. The first automatic NOMOS watch, the Tangomat, was first introduced in the summer of 2005. NOMOS Glashütte has gradually expanded its range of watches to include new models and sizes, such as Ahoi and Metro.
