Hi everyone, Up for sale is a chronometer-rated Omega Seamaster ref. 168.024 from 1970, powered by the renowned Caliber 564 with quick-set date. This example has just been expertly serviced in July 2025 and is running spot-on — ready to be worn and enjoyed. The watch retains its original sunburst dial in excellent condition, paired with the correct dauphine hands. The 35mm stainless steel case has been expertly refinished by my watchmaker, keeping edges crisp and the brushing finish on the sides, while presenting beautifully on the wrist. It’s fitted with the original Omega beads-of-rice bracelet (ref. 1502) with correct No. 11 endlinks, long enough for wrists up to 8 inches. **Condition** * **Dial:** Original sunburst dial in excellent condition with sharp printing and markers. Correct set of dauphine hands. * **Case:** 35mm stainless steel, expertly refinished with crisp edges and intact brushed sides. * **Crystal:** Aftermarket Plexiglas. * **Crown:** Original signed crown. * **Movement:** Omega Cal. 564 chronometer with quick-set date, freshly serviced July 2025. Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
