Hi everyone, Up for sale is a 1971 Omega Seamaster ref. 168.0061, housing the chronometer-rated Cal. 1011 — one of Omega’s last great chronometer calibers of the 1970s. At 35 mm it strikes a perfect balance of vintage proportions and everyday versatility. Recently serviced in September 2025, it’s running well and ready to wear. **Why it is a good pick** This is an honest, all-original Seamaster: unpolished case, original dial, original signed plexi, and it still carries its chronometer pedigree proudly. Paired with the original Omega bracelet, it’s a complete package that delivers both charm and reliability. Hard to find another serviced chronometer Seamaster on original bracelet at this price point. **Condition** * **Dial:** Original silver sunburst dial in good condition with crisp printing. No touch-ups. * **Case:** Stainless steel 35 mm, unpolished with light aging spots and honest wear. * **Crystal:** Original signed plexi, clear with only minor marks. * **Crown:** Original signed, functions correctly. * **Movement:** Omega Cal. 1011 automatic chronometer. Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
