This variant is truly special and really stands out on the wrist! The dial, marked “JAPAN 6139 - 7040T,” features a striking matte black finish. The prominent “SpeedTimer” logo is realised in a contemporary orange colour sitting beautifully across from the sleek black day/date frame. The bracelet maintains its original flat three-link design, coded XJA161, tapering perfectly to snugly fit under the lugs. I have to say, this model is one of my personal favourites! It showcases a split bi-color 30-minute sub-register in black and silver, accented by vibrant orange chronograph hands that really bring it to life. A particularly interesting detail is the stunning triple hinge “Chiclet” Bracelet made from stainless steel, which is unique to this variant. That and the UFO saucer case shape really makes this a unique Seiko design even for Seiko. As part of Seiko’s early automatic chronograph legacy, the 6139 - 7020 is more than just a watch; it’s a piece of horological history. Its combination of functionality, precision, and vintage appeal makes it a hot topic among collectors and enthusiasts.  In terms of condition, this watch is superb with little to no wear despite its age. The crystal is flawless, with just a small nick beneath the day window. It comes on the original bracelet, sized for an 18cm (7inch) wrist, with ample space for adjustment.
