Introduced in the late 1960s and early 1970s, the Shadow line represented Universal Genève’s response to the era’s growing demand for ultra-thin, modern elegance. While the brand is best known for legendary chronographs such as the Compax and Polerouter, the Shadow collection showcased a more understated side of Universal Genève, pairing minimalist design with advanced slim automatic movements. The White Shadow, in particular, stood out for its clean dial, sleek case profile, and the use of Universal Genève’s in-house ultra-thin calibres. These watches were designed to be elegant, discreet, and technically sophisticated. This reference perfectly captures Universal Genève’s mastery of slim watchmaking during its golden era. The stainless steel case measures 35mm, striking an ideal balance between vintage proportions and modern wearability. Its thin profile allows the watch to sit effortlessly on the wrist, slipping easily under a cuff while maintaining a refined presence.
